People we Love
Here is a list of people and businesses that we think are awesome. They have provided friendship, support and service – without which A Yen for Yarn could not get that yummy yarn out to you. Other lovely people have provided amazing service in areas from accounting to photography and marketing.
Wholehearted Marketing – Cath Connell. Cath specialises in finding your business story and then helps you to build your marketing and branding so that you can tell your story to the world. This lady is truly talented and such a joy to work with. Here’s to you, Cath.
Minerva’s Craft Garden – Kirsten Yarra (co-founder of A Yen for Yarn). This facebook page is run by my amazingly talented, crocheting friend. Watch out for her patterns, tips and inspirational images.
Canidae Development – Tracy & Luke Edwards. Canidae Development specialise in training humans to train dogs to find people and and native animals. Why do we love them? Well, for a start they have the smartest dogs in the world and second of all, Tracy takes beautiful photos – you’ll find them through the website from collection shots to blog shots. Hugs to the humans and dogs involved in making this company work. You’re all furry and beautiful (not you, Trace, although you are beautiful, just not furry)
The Hillscene – Arts, Community and Environment Magazine – Yay for our local comunity arts mag. They carried a great article on us when we first started out and continue to give great support through social media. Thanks Adriana and team for making us look pretty and giving us access to the local community, here, in the Hills.
C&A Accounting and Consulting Services – Cathy Doulgeris. Cathy is really friendly, super efficient and basically makes the whole setting up a company thing easy to deal with. Thanks, Cathy! Yearly tax stuff is easy, too.
Red Courgette – Mel Vandergraaff – Catering in the Dandenong Ranges. Mel catered our inaugural Tactile Day and also my hubby’s and my 20th anniversary party. Her food is phenomenal and she caters for every conceivable dietary requirement. Her food is very pretty, very delicious and she and her staff give you the time to enjoy your function. The place is left spotless, too. Yay for Mel.
Timboon Provedore – Jenny and Penny – Thanks to these lovely ladies for providing beverages for the Port Campbell Tactile Day. They run a little store with boxes of treasure… I mean food.
